MuzzaPower  A commercial free online station in Auckland. Its all curated by veteran broadcaster Murray(Muzza) Inglis.

Murray Anthony Inglis was born in New Plymouth, and attended St John Bosco primary school in Fitzroy, then onto New Plymouth Boys High

Back in the early 50s and 60s Muzza, knew exactly what he wanted to do .. driving the rest of the Inglis family crazy as he sat up at night listening to great Australian  Radio D.J's like John Laws,Bob Rogers,Ward (pally)Austin, Allan(LapLap) Lappan and Ken Sparkes at 3UZ, and a man who was to become a mate when he worked at 3DB in Melbourne Stan(theman) Rofe,

Muzza was told by The late Ken(Tweed wearing, humourless, pipe smoking) Green and the management at 2ZA Palmerston North...that he would never make it in radio,as he sounded to Kiwi, with a dark l and bad diphthongs, so  Sefton Freeman and company dispensed of his services....So he moved to Australia, where he met up with his Aunt and Uncle( Hilda Skerr and Ron Roberts) who worked for Grace Gibson (Ron was the voice over guy for radio serials like Dr Paul,Portia Faces Life and many more..it was a lucky break Ron took Murray into 2UW and with the help of a producer, they made a scoped skyte tape which landed him a gig working on-air at 5RM Berri S.A. then it was yo  3BO Bendigo, and later 7HO Hobart,In 1969 back to NZ and a stint at 1ZH in Hamilton .as Murray the I ( In Australia and New Zealand, he was known as Murray The I during the 60s and 70s ) Later he was approached by the legendary Mike Baker to take himself to the new  Radio I in Auckland presenting The Radio Revolution at night ,where he was the first person in New Zealand (possibly the world) to play Elton John, the track was Your Song ,thanks to Dick James in London who was a great mate of Mark Ackerman the P.D at The New Radio I

From there it was back to Oz and 4AY Townsville followed by a gig at 4BK Brisbane  after turning down an offer by Rod Muir to stay in Townsville for 12 months under his tuition and the chance of a job at 2SM

Later he reinvented himself as Muzza in TheMorning at Radio Avon in Christchurch. In 1977 Muzza won an international Billboard Magazine award voted one of the top 10 Radio Deejays n the World and the outright winner for The Southern Hemisphere .which allowed him to spend some time at WHBQ where he was taught more tricks of the trade by Ric Dees who later became the top rated morning man at KIIS in L.A.

After that Muzza moved to Radio Hauraki in Auckland and later was the first breakfast presenter at 2ws Sydney (Now WSFM) followed by a gig at DB Music in Melbourne where he also made regular appearances (Thanks to Stan Rofe )on Channel 9's Hey Hey its Saturday in a jukebox Jury segment  on Saturday Mornings.

.

Muzza achieved top ratings at Radio Avon in Christchurch,Radio Hauraki,3DB Melbourne 91FM in Auckland and later 89fm in Auckland,

Muzza was presented with a services to New Zealand radio award in 2016. At that time he was volunteering as Content Director and afternoon presenter at The FleaFM in Devonport

Auckland. Thanks to the kindness of John Grant
